### How long does it take to get a Spanish visa?

Digital-nomad residence: 20 working days. Startup residence: about 8 weeks, because the clock is suspended while ENISA’s mandatory report is pending. We can gather and file your documents within 24 hours — we can file tomorrow if you’re already in Spain!

### What’s included in the price?

Our fee covers consultations and personalised support. Government fees, legalisation, and sworn translations are paid separately.

### Can I bring my family?

Yes. Spouse and children under 18 — no problem. Children over 18 — if financially dependent and without their own family. Parents of the main applicant and spouse — from 65 years old, if financially dependent. Family members receive full resident rights, including unrestricted work rights.

### What can you promise about the outcome?

No one can guarantee a decision UGE makes. What we can do is build a document set that gives your application the best chance. Our own record is 98% approvals across Digital Nomad and Startup cases since 2022.

### What should I do if UGE asks for additional documents (a requerimiento)?

By law (Ley 39/2015, art. 68), you have 10 working days from the notification date to respond. Miss that deadline and the application is considered withdrawn (desistido). We prepare a complete response to the requerimiento and assemble the correct set of documents on time.

### Can I appeal a residence-permit denial?

Yes. You can appeal a denial by filing a recurso, usually within 1 month. Often it’s more effective to fix the underlying issue and reapply. We review the wording of the denial and handle the appeal or a fresh application for you.

### Should I apply from Spain (through UGE) or through a consulate?

From Spain through UGE: a residence permit for up to 3 years, with a decision required by law within 20 working days. Through a consulate: a national type D visa valid for 1 year, which you later exchange for a residence permit in Spain. We’ll recommend the best route for your situation.

### What do I need to do after approval — TIE, padrón, certificado digital?

After approval: book an appointment for fingerprints (huellas) and collect your TIE card, register at your town hall (padrón), and set up a certificado digital (Spain’s digital certificate) / Cl@ve for taxes and other paperwork online. We’ll guide you through the right order of steps and recommend trusted services for each one.

### I'm employed by a foreign company — do I need a social-security coverage certificate?

Yes, if you're an employee. You must show you stay covered by your home country's social security while working remotely from Spain. That means an A1 certificate (EU/EEA/Switzerland/UK), a Certificate of Coverage (USA, under the US–Spain totalization agreement), or your home country's certificate where a bilateral agreement with Spain exists. The wording must state remote work from Spain, and ordinary private insurance does not replace it. We help you get the right one.

### Should I apply myself or use an agency?

You can apply yourself, but there are real obstacles. The main one is getting a certificado digital (Spain’s digital certificate). Without it you cannot file documents online, and it’s issued reluctantly before you hold a residence permit. Document requirements, formatting and explanations also change often. And a mistake is expensive: a trip home for a new document, refiling, weeks lost. We take this on for you and see it through to the result.
